CZARNY.

Sigh.  I have bad news in addition to the wonderful news I posted just prior to this  post.  Have thought back and forth about whether or not to post about this but alas, here I go.  Czarny.  We lost him a couple of days ago.  I say we  because he is one of my puppies that I felt I never really let go — partly because his owners have become wonderful friends over the years they’ve had him, in fact getting another puppy –  the most adorable little brown girl, Gabbie… and then taking a rescue I’d taken in, Nadjea.  Czarny was from one of my early litters.  I have his littermate – my Annie and in fact have two others boarding here right now, Anna and Aria (“A” litter, he was AKA Czarny). A Mufasa son and very much like his daddy which just made him all the more special to me.  Czarny died from liver cancer — a fairly common type of cancer in our dogs and unfortunately it hit him a just ten years old.  His grandmother, Lulu died from it as well, but at just a month shy of turning 13 – a tad more bearable.  It is his picture at the top of this blog — his owner, Mark does my website/blog.  You can see more of him on his website page.   Here is a picture I took of him one of his visits here when I groomed him — he was gorgeous.  He leaves a hole is our hearts.  These dogs have short life spans and when cut even short than they ought to be it hurts worse — but I wouldn’t trade one day to eliminate that hurt either.  Czarny was very well loved and had a good life  -thank you Mark and Jody.

The Puppies are Here!!!!!!!!

One black girl, one white boy, four black boys.     PJ is being a great mother, on par with her Granny Lulu.  Whew, not like her momm Peri who was not so much into motherhood other than producing beautiful and wonderful darlings.  But, like Lulu, PJ is a doting mother  – keeping everyone nursed and immaculate.  And it is not just because there are only three.  Even when Peri had just one, she decided cleaning it was not her thing…  Funny, last litter was the opposite, twice as many girls as boys.  Must have been a full moon when they were conceived or something – lol…   My boys are very sweet – honestly — ask anyone who aready has one of mine, it is not just me saying so.  Even my sister is thinking about the white male — she loves the white ones and lost her girl last year.  Not sure this is the best timing for her thought as she is about to battle a serious health issue (why I went to visit her in TX last week…) But, she may move back to TX, so maybe then…  In the meantime,,,, anyone interested in a boy,,, I got ‘em!!!

Boo Hoo, still no new blog – But I’m posting anyway…

as you can see, the new blog is not yet up and running but finally got a new internet connection after a terrible time with hughes.net sattelite.  Mark, who does my website/blog, had to  go on vacation too!!!!  scuba diving at some exotic islands – he and Jody deserve it.  So, when he is back, he promises to get us up with new, better software that will let me post videos!!!!!!!!! In the meantime, I’m posting anyway to keep everyone up to date with happenings here.  PJ is pregnant with puppies sired by Dino.  PJ stands for Peri Jr. – reall, full name is Luminary August Peridot but she looks to much like her momma Peri (and her grandmother Lulu, sigh) that I called her Peri Jr and PJ stuck.  She is so beautiful – a lovely mix of momma and her sire, Marco. She is ice white when clean – lol with very dark black pigment.  She is the one, you may recall that I had tons of show coat grown and was ready to send her off to get her championship but got bitten by a copperhead on the foot so severaly that she was very traumatized…look at that picture, still makes me cringe.      She became rather fearful after that and even though with lots of work we got her much better, I was worried that she would be afraid every time a judge approached her and would be re-traumatized so I cut her down, kept her home.  She was two last august.   And the daddy of her babies, CH Luminary Xtreme Dynamite (Dino) is gorgeous too.  He finished as a puppy. Then went to live in Chicago with friends..  We shipped semen to make these babies and the sonogram found three.  Small litter, but I’ll take them!!! This is his second litter but the first I get to see and it is PJ’s first.  And I am leaving for Texas for a few days to see my sister, leaving my dogs in good hands of my sister and vet tech.  Home a week prior to these girls’ due dates (I hope!!!).  Still playing with the Velvet/Spencer puppies I’ve kept to show – keepimg me busy for sure as they grow…
