CZARNY.

Sigh.  I have bad news in addition to the wonderful news I posted just prior to this  post.  Have thought back and forth about whether or not to post about this but alas, here I go.  Czarny.  We lost him a couple of days ago.  I say we  because he is one of my puppies that I felt I never really let go — partly because his owners have become wonderful friends over the years they’ve had him, in fact getting another puppy –  the most adorable little brown girl, Gabbie… and then taking a rescue I’d taken in, Nadjea.  Czarny was from one of my early litters.  I have his littermate – my Annie and in fact have two others boarding here right now, Anna and Aria (“A” litter, he was AKA Czarny). A Mufasa son and very much like his daddy which just made him all the more special to me.  Czarny died from liver cancer — a fairly common type of cancer in our dogs and unfortunately it hit him a just ten years old.  His grandmother, Lulu died from it as well, but at just a month shy of turning 13 – a tad more bearable.  It is his picture at the top of this blog — his owner, Mark does my website/blog.  You can see more of him on his website page.   Here is a picture I took of him one of his visits here when I groomed him — he was gorgeous.  He leaves a hole is our hearts.  These dogs have short life spans and when cut even short than they ought to be it hurts worse — but I wouldn’t trade one day to eliminate that hurt either.  Czarny was very well loved and had a good life  -thank you Mark and Jody.

    Victoria,
I am so sorry about the news of Czarny’s passing.
He was so beautiful, I see in his Pics, and I’m very sure he was equally sweet. As is my white male, Luke, (grandson of Mufasa).
You, and his owners, have my sympathy.

So sorry for your loss! I can’t even think about losing one but like Victoria said, I wouldn’t dream of trading the heartbreak for the experience of having a standard poodle. They are just fantastic.

    Sorry to hear this.

Dante is not one of your pups but you have cared for him once and given me good advice over the years. One thing I have found that has helped is acupunture for these dogs. I have a vet/acupunturist that treats Dante. He runs to that vet. He doesn’t run to any other vet. He doesn’t mind the needles at all. Any GI issues are gone after treatment for a good long time. It also seems to keep his liver in balance. I know that alot of poodles go that way and my guess is that he will also eventually but this treatment really does help. So I recommend it to anyone who reads this. Once a month as they get older (+7). The other good benefit is that after the treatment they sleep a good long nap!

I also echo what Maria said. They are the BEST dogs. My next one comes from a Victoria Law litter! Hopefully soon. I’m hoping for another black male!
