Tommi and Tache

Tache, the puppy in these pictures left last saturday to live with Tommi. Tommi is a girl sired by my boy Griffin and should have/could have been finished (championship). In fact, I told her breeder she was a keeper. But she came to live in Fredericksbrug and is a well-loved girl. Tache is a Merry/Mondo puppy also quite beautiful and sweet. He has the cutest curly hari over his eyes too. Seems these two have bonded pretty well. Sleeping together makes a pack tight. Even with their humans. I have actually brought home a dog after being gone showing for awhile and because the others react like hmmmmm, we have to think about this, I say, time for a nap and we all go into my bedroom. When they wake back up, they are friends again. These two certainly look happy there… Oh and I have to look it up for more info but their “daddy” said Tache got his name from a french poodle very much decorated as a war dog hero. Love it…

Viktor and Alastair

These two left together a few days ago. The brown boy is a PJ baby and the black one is a Merry baby, both of course sired by Mondo. Aren’t they adorable together. And both so beautiful. Have to say that the brown boy, Alastair, if I got the names right, I thought and sill do think looks like his momma but in the side view picture he looks just like his maternal grandfather, Marco. Not a bad thing for sure as Marco finished his championship at just 10 months old with three huge wins three days in a row. He couldn’t miss with the looks for sure since PJ is also just beautiful and then there is Mondo added in. Now Viktor, the black boy looks alot like both his daddy Mondo and I see his momma Merry in his expression. Again, couldn’t miss with the looks there either. But sweet too….

One boy left yesterday and another leaves later — I’ll add his picture then. I am down to six as of today with one more scheduled to leave March 2nd. So, four not yet spoken for since one of the five left I am keeping back for me (a girl)….

More puppies off to their new homes…

Emotional weekend for me — 10 puppies have left for their new homes. I know they will be greatly loved, but its not easy for me – ever — should get used to it… I don’t. I just always hope all goes well… And of course my trip to NYC for which I have yet to pack… Getting everyone one last round outside and up I got to pack and hit the bed!!!!!!!!

oh yeah,,,

Anyone interested, Westminster Kennel Club will stream the daytime showing online. I don’t know the details but was told that. So, I’m sure you can find it with a search or go to the WKC website. That is the way to see my girl showing. Standard Poodles are scheduled to show at 11 am, ring 4. Her registered name is Luminary Black Velvet Bejeweled In Pearls. She is black, you’ve probably seen her picture since I post it so much — lol… and her handler is Adriano Rocha. The dogs you see on TV at night are the ones who’ve won there breed or variety during the daytime showing. Pearl is quite nice but not the favored to win — that is Jasset’s Satisfaction (London). So, I just hope she is taken seriously as she is also about two years younger than the rest that I know of and just starting out as a specials bitch. In any case, I know I will cry when I see her in the ring there. Many years of hard work, lots of blood – sweat – and tears, as they say, to get there. But again, I am not complaining because its many years of highs for me too.. Gee, I’m a bit emotional today — always am when my babies leave and of course getting excited about the trip. And thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and well wishes.

Busy Day after a bunch of busy days!!!!!!!!

I probably won’t have time tomorrow to post since I have five more puppies leaving to get groomed and I have to pack!!!!!!! Five left already gone. I am letting them go a tad early so there are not quite so many here for my caretakers to worry with and so I won’t be quite as worried either. Trust me, 18 is alot to manage and while I’m pretty good at this, 18 have given me a run for my money as they say. lol… not complaining — never complaining — I just love it and them so… But I do know the work involved and how you can make mistakes so I know less is easier. You don’t know how many times I’ve counted heads two and three times to be sure I haven’t left anyone outside. Its scarry — given the cold weather and that I let big dogs out there — so I double and triple check. I have twice gotten out of bed to come back down and count once again. Today I had to rethink because some have left so no more 18 and I’m doing the math in my head as I count going — wait a minute — how many are there now? Funny… And, I groom my babies before they go so people don’t have to take them to a groomer before they’ve had all their shots. That is five puppies groomed in a couple of days and then I had to bathe/dry Mimi’s show coat because she would be a big matted mess when I get home from NYC if I didn’t. Tomorrow, five more leave. And I haven’t packed yet. And my friend who is going with me is staying the night so I won’t have time to play on my computer like I am doing now when I should be heading to bed too. And this is after about two weeks of lots of gearing up to all this plus a girl here to breed to Mondo for a few days (that’s a whole other story) — Reny — a gorgeous & darling girl out of my Jada and sired by my Griffin that I am lucky to co-own with Julia and Dave in MD — loved having her here though— saw all her ancestors coming through her — her Granny TT, Luca, her momma and daddy… wow… one of the things I love about being a breeder… plus a girl that was bred to Mondo here for a sonogram (yes, she is preganant, no I’m not whelping/rearing that litter).

Here are a couple who left today.
and Mimi — after spending about three hours on being beautified, she wrestles with her daddy Mondo and now looks like this … sigh.
