Questo got another GCH point
Posted by vlaw in Uncategorized on October 30, 2012
He now is over half way there. Taking awhile because no majors. In fact two weeks ago, he sat out because there were no points at all in dogs. The weekend after that he went select all three days with one point each. Last weekend he went select for one point on Saturday but no standards showed at all on sunday – not sure why — the weather maybe with the hurrican coming in. But Adriano texted saying don’t come as handlers were dropping out. Glad to see him on Saturday though. He is one happy boy and maturing nicely. Really good body and dynamite rear, great coate and perfect size for me. He has a bigger face/head than bro Mondo but still quite nice. I may breed him to Merry and PJ next time as his carriage too is great. Here he is jumping like crazy in his expen. And yes those are his “pee booties” — he wee-wee’s on the back of his legs – yuck… but hopefully when cut into a pet trim, that will stop. He is so sweet though.

Yay – again!!!!!!!!
Posted by vlaw in Uncategorized on October 18, 2012
Merry and Mondo bred tonight. Mondo has been a busy boy this week. Merry came into heat shortly after PJ — it happens — and I didn’t want to skip either of them like I skipped Velvet since PJ has had two heats since her litter and Merry had one. And previously when I chose who to breed and who to skip, I got nothing so didn’t want to take that chance. Even with these two breedings I will not count my chicks before they’re hatched. I’ve had litters close together before, in fact once Peri delivered 11 with 8 surviving and the very next day Spirit had a c-section delivering three but one of her was stillborn – sigh. — anyway, I rotated Peri’s with Spirit to nurse and it worked out fine. But, Merry had 11 with all surviving — double yay — and she managed to nurse and take care of everyone. PJ had a small litter her first time delivering three but a few days later Diva had her litter but because of complications, I lost Diva –sigh and gave all her puppies to PJ who took them in and nursed and raised them all. Such good momma dogs. So, now we wait about a month to see if either is pregnant. But tonight, I relax. Here is a picture of my Merry when she was a baby…
Yay – just got a breeding with PJ & Mondo

Merry in in heat too!!!
Posted by vlaw in Uncategorized on October 7, 2012
Well, as I suspected might happen, Merry came into heat right after PJ. So, now both are in and to be bred in about 9 to 11 days. Have to look at my records for what days they bred previously but day 11 – 13 is the average. Mondo, let me know about Merry earlier today – he wouldn’t leave her alone and she got very testy which is not her norm. Almost funny to watch. Poor Mondo — I shall leave these girls upstairs away from him now til they are about ready and have a better attitude toward hiim – lol.

YAY — PJ is in HEAT!!!!!!!!!!!
Posted by vlaw in Uncategorized on October 5, 2012
Thank you Velvet As happens, I think Velvet brought PJ in. So, she started either yesterday or today. I usually know for sure but she was so sick of my checking her little hiny that I stopped chasing her with a white paper towel. LOL. But last night I thought I noticed something and then this evening when I got back home and let them out, I noticed her rear looked a bit different. So, I met her with a piece of paper towel as she came back inside and checked — voila!!! So, now we should get a breeding in about 11 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mondo is already interested and he was happy “at” Merry so now wondering if she is coming in too. No problem — I’ll take it…
Velvet is in heat.

Well, the girl who I am not going to breed has come into heat. Velvet whelped a litter of 11 last April so I need to skip her this time. But maybe she will bring PJ in — that happens sometimes. Sigh. Of course when I am anxiously waiting for PJ to come in, she doesn’t. I stopped checking her twice a day hoping if I stop “watching the pot boil”, she would. Now maybe… cross your fingers.
