Yay – again!!!!!!!!

Merry and Mondo bred tonight. Mondo has been a busy boy this week. Merry came into heat shortly after PJ — it happens — and I didn’t want to skip either of them like I skipped Velvet since PJ has had two heats since her litter and Merry had one. And previously when I chose who to breed and who to skip, I got nothing so didn’t want to take that chance. Even with these two breedings I will not count my chicks before they’re hatched. I’ve had litters close together before, in fact once Peri delivered 11 with 8 surviving and the very next day Spirit had a c-section delivering three but one of her was stillborn – sigh. — anyway, I rotated Peri’s with Spirit to nurse and it worked out fine. But, Merry had 11 with all surviving — double yay — and she managed to nurse and take care of everyone. PJ had a small litter her first time delivering three but a few days later Diva had her litter but because of complications, I lost Diva –sigh and gave all her puppies to PJ who took them in and nursed and raised them all. Such good momma dogs. So, now we wait about a month to see if either is pregnant. But tonight, I relax. Here is a picture of my Merry when she was a baby…

Merry is just precious and matured so beautifully. I hope you get something spectacular. I did not realize you’d lost Diva. I remember you saying she was going to be retired after that last litter & didn’t realize that :( sorry

Yes, Diva was to retire but we had problems – I will spare you the detals — sometimes it is VERY hard to be a breeder.

Merry and Mondo had beautiful babies their first time. Merry delivered 11 and all were fine including the preemie who turned into a beauty too. In fact she is now with Adriano along with her sister, Mimi. Mimi wasn’t coming out of her shell,so to speak even after being with themfor over a month. Usually my babies turn on with them much more quickly. So, this weekend I took her sissy, Teeny to the show in Leesburg to see how she reacted. Well, Mimi was happier to see her sister than me!!!!! So, Teeny went along and hopefully they will both do fine in the show ring — neither wants to put their tails up high – sigh — they are both so beautiful I will be upset if they don’t finish but oh well!!!!
