Velvet was carrying eleven — two litters of eleven in a row. However four did not make it. I will spare you the details. This was not the smoothest whelping although Velvet did very, very well and seven wonderful puppies are now doing fine — plumping up and looking beautiful. Velvet is being a great momma again. Doesn’t even want me picking them up yet. They are a quiet litter – I actually slept through the night whereas usually they wake me several times crying out. Some cry whenever they wake up hungry, but this group only cries when really upset. Funny how each litter is different. Keeps me on my toes!!!

This is such exciting news! Glad Velvet is doing well! So sorry about the four that didn’t make it. Cannot wait to come and visit again!

So sorry they didn’t all make it. Velvet looks fabulous in the photo; her pigmentation is staying so nice and dark.

Everyone is doing great. Velvet is such a great momma too. Just love to watch her with them. Visits can begin when they are over three or so weeks…
